Misty Morning
Misty Morning by Rémi Abad, 2021
The workers are on the job and their kids are playing around. The grass has been cut and the smoke clings to the ruins. A silhouette stands out, going down the stairs to join her mother. She’s the child of Angkor.
Hunting for the perfect shot, documenting daily life, and always focusing on people have guided Rémi’s photography since he first picked up a Nikon Fm decades ago. Starting with analog photography taught him the fundamentals, and his passion only grew with the digital era. Since then, Rémi has traveled through Europe and Asia, always seeking new images. His goal has always been to document humanity without judgment, embracing a “humanist photography” approach. Now settled in Cambodia since 2013, Rémi works as a journalist and captures countless photos of this beloved country.
Kasaya Gallery offers a unique space where photography and culture come together to showcase the vibrant beauty of Cambodia.
