Above The Cyclos
Above The Cyclos by Rémi Abad, 2024
Cycle rickshaws line a wet Cambodian street, their colorful canopies and metal frames adding character to the rain-soaked urban landscape. The shimmering pavement reflects the stillness of the scene, briefly interrupted by a lone rickshaw making its way down the middle of the road. Where could it be headed?
Hunting for the perfect shot, documenting daily life, and always focusing on people have guided Rémi’s photography since he first picked up a Nikon Fm decades ago. Starting with analog photography taught him the fundamentals, and his passion only grew with the digital era. Since then, Rémi has traveled through Europe and Asia, always seeking new images. His goal has always been to document humanity without judgment, embracing a “humanist photography” approach. Now settled in Cambodia since 2013, Rémi works as a journalist and captures countless photos of this beloved country.
