Khmerry Christmas

Breanne, who commissioned and art-directed this piece, has lived in Cambodia with her family for twelve years. She began collaborating with a talented Indonesian illustrator on her first children's book, "Mangos Are for Me." Her goal was to capture the essence of her children's day-to-day lives, aiming to depict their world and experiences vividly. Her book brings her kids' reality to life on its pages. Being a bit (okay, a lot) Christmas-obsessed, she started working on a Christmas book for 2024. Eager to spread some Christmas cheer, she decided to work with her illustrator to create some artwork to share before the book's release. Breanne is immensely grateful to the Cambodian people for allowing her the privilege of sharing life with them every day; their beautiful country continually inspires her imagination.
